AI consulting · Mid-market & regulated business

AI consulting for companies the enterprise firms price out.

We help mid-market and regulated businesses move from AI pilots to production systems their own teams can run — with the governance a regulator will accept and none of the six-figure discovery phase.

The problem

Most AI projects don't fail at the model. They fail at ownership.

Deloitte's 2026 survey of more than 3,000 executives found only a quarter of companies have moved more than 40% of their AI pilots into production, and 84% have not redesigned any work around AI. BCG puts it more starkly: roughly 5% of organisations generate substantial value from AI, while 60% generate none at all.

Enterprise consultancies

Built for Fortune 500 procurement. Six-figure minimums, long discovery phases, and a delivery model designed to keep the engagement running. Right for a global rollout; wrong for a 200-person company with one urgent problem.

Tool vendors and platform partners

Excellent at deploying the licence you already bought. Less interested in whether the workflow around it changes, whether staff trust the output, or what happens when the regulator asks how a decision was made.

Development shops and freelancers

Fast to a working prototype. Rarely equipped for model risk documentation, procurement review, or the governance conversation that decides whether the prototype is ever allowed into production.

Services

Five capabilities built around one outcome: you own it at the end

The engagement is structured to finish. Methodology gets taught rather than held, systems run in your stack rather than ours, and the documentation is written for your team to extend without us.

1

AI readiness assessment

A two-week diagnostic that maps your workflows, scores opportunities against effort, risk and data quality, and returns a costed roadmap your team owns outright.

2

AI solution architecture

Design and build for production LLM systems: model gateways, policy guardrails, retrieval pipelines, agent workflows and the evaluation harness that makes output trustworthy.

3

AI training & enablement

Bootcamps in generative AI, Python and data science, pitched to the level your people actually work at — because adoption fails on people long before it fails on models.

4

Offshore delivery teams

Vetted engineering and data specialists across India, managed to your standards with working-hours overlap, scoped to outcomes rather than billed by headcount.

5

Curriculum & content

Course design, technical writing and assessment build for training providers, edtech platforms and internal academies — from a 20-hour module to a 160-hour programme.

Not sure which you need?

Nearly every engagement starts with the readiness assessment. It exists to answer that question before you spend anything larger.

Why TechVisory

Regulated-industry engineering, at mid-market scale

Senior-led delivery used to be the boutique differentiator. It isn't any more — the consulting pyramid is collapsing industry-wide and every firm now claims it. These four things are what actually separate the work.

Governance designed in, not bolted on

Our team built enterprise LLM gateways with policy guardrails, model access controls and audit trails inside banking environments. That instinct — assume someone will ask how the system reached its answer — shapes every architecture we produce.

Ownership transfer is the deliverable

No proprietary platform sitting underneath your workflow as a load-bearing component. The systems run on your accounts, in your stack, documented for your engineers. The engagement is designed to end.

Teaching is a first-class capability

Over a thousand professionals trained in generative AI, Python and data science. Enablement is built into every engagement rather than sold afterwards as a remedy for low adoption.

Delivery capacity without a second vendor

When a build needs more hands, we scale through vetted engineering teams in India with overlapping working hours — so you aren't managing a separate offshore relationship alongside the advisory one.

Where we work

Sectors where getting it wrong is expensive

Banking & financial services

Credit and risk analysis, regulatory reporting, client onboarding, document-heavy operations. Finance is the largest vertical in AI consulting — and the mid-tier is where the least attention goes.

Insurance & RegTech

Claims triage, policy document processing, compliance review queues, and the model risk documentation that has to sit behind all of it.

Professional services

Firms whose product is expert judgement delivered through documents — where AI either compounds the expertise or quietly erodes trust in it.

Common questions

What buyers ask before signing

What does an AI readiness assessment cost?

Across the boutique market, a senior-led diagnostic and roadmap typically runs between USD 25,000 and USD 75,000. The same scope at a Big 4 firm generally starts above USD 150,000 and can reach USD 400,000 for multi-division work. Our fixed-fee assessment sits at the lower end of the boutique range, because it is deliberately scoped to two weeks rather than a quarter.

How is a boutique AI consultancy actually different from a Big 4 firm?

Big 4 and global strategy firms are structured for Fortune 500 procurement, with leverage models staffing large teams of junior consultants. Boutiques run smaller and more senior. But senior-led delivery is no longer the real distinction — the industry pyramid is collapsing and everyone is converging on it. The distinction that matters now is whether the engagement is designed to transfer ownership or to create dependency.

When should we not hire a boutique firm?

If you need a multi-country deployment with in-country legal coverage, a programme requiring hundreds of consultants in parallel, or a procurement model built around large-vendor insurance and bonding requirements, a large firm is genuinely the better fit. If the work is a straightforward tool rollout in a stable environment, a vendor implementation partner will be cheaper. We would rather tell you that early than take the engagement.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. We work with mid-market clients across the UK, Netherlands, UAE, US and Australia, with delivery capacity based in India and working hours arranged to overlap meaningfully with client time zones.

What happens to the work when the engagement ends?

You keep it. The roadmap, the architecture documentation, the evaluation harness and the running system all live in your environment, on your accounts, written for your team to extend. If you never call us again, nothing you paid for stops working.
